The Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA Spain) held its Ordinary General Assembly of members on October 15 during a digital event , given the circumstances of the global health pandemic we are experiencing. At the assembly, after completing the two years established by the statutes, the positions of the current Board of Directors were renewed . In addition, a new vice presidency of Innovation and Development was created, which will be held by Silvia Velasco , CEO of BE A LION, new partners were welcomed and a balance was made of the actions and projects organized so far this year, as well as those that are to come. The new vice presidency was born with the mission of keeping the BCMA always at the forefront of trends and to contribute to actively building the future of Branded Content in Spain. It arises with the purpose of deepening the development and knowledge of Branded Content in relation to new market trends that come from the hand of technology and the appearance of new communication windows, such as social networks, VOD platforms or assistants. intelligent. Its main objective will be to serve as a catalyst to analyze and develop the different applications of Branded Content in cutting-edge sectors as important as Virtual Reality, Gaming or Influencer Marketing, for example, and, of course, delve into new formulas for connection and communication with consumers that digital platforms allow us.
As CEO of BE A LION , a Mediaset España group company, Silvia Velasco brings deep knowledge of the development of Branded Content in the digital field , as developers of projects such as 'El Gran Reto Email Data Solidario' and 'Samsung Mad Fun'. In addition, Velasco has extensive experience in multinationals such as Google and in press and radio media. In the new Vice Presidency we also want to look to the future and integrate new communication windows and cutting-edge formats .» Regarding the new incorporations, Bijoux, GRACE, Spanish Committee of UNHCR, Action against Hunger, The Brand Concept Agency (TBC), Antiestático, Abertis, MAPFRE, Infinia and Darwin Social Noise were welcomed. All of them have joined since February of this year. With these 10 new firms, the BCMA has more than 80 partners, among which we find advertising brands, content producers, media and agencies in the five years of the association's life.
Regarding the projects carried out this very complicated year, the association has adapted to continue holding its events and discussion tables in online format , but we also highlight: – The presentation of the first Legal Guide to Branded Content in Spanish , by Écija, legal collaborator of the BCMA. – The 3 editions of #05×10 BCMA ( June , September and October ), where we were able to listen to 15 great Branded Content cases told in 10 minutes each. Regarding the projects underway, the following stand out: – The BCMA Awards 2020 , for the second consecutive year. The ' Best BC of the Year Award' will be revealed at the end of November. – The Content Formats Guide (FOCO), which includes the different formats that exist when making a BC and which is presented on November 17. Soon available on bma.es. – The document that the BC Commission with Purpose is working on and that includes the points that good Branded Content that works on Brand Purpose + Sustainable Development must take into account. It will include a methodology to evaluate them – The V Edition of the Content Scope , a study prepared by Scopen for BCMA where we will learn about the reality of BC among professionals in our country and which will be presented in December.
